Vivo has officially pulled the curtain back on the X300 FE in India. Positioned as the successor to the popular X200 FE, this new entrant sticks to a winning formula: delivering a premium, compact experience without the eye-watering price tag of a top-tier flagship.
While it sits just below the standard X300 in the lineup, the FE (Fan Edition) brings some surprising upgrades most notably a massive battery and a redesigned telephoto kit that will definitely catch the eye of mobile photographers.
Pricing and Availability ( India)
The Vivo X300 FE is leaning into the premium mid-range segment with two storage configurations. If you’re looking to pick one up, the sales kick off on May 14th across both online stores and major offline retailers.

Design: A Bold New Look
The X300 FE breaks away from the understated look of its predecessor. It now features a bold, visor-style camera module a design language that feels like a nod to the Google Pixel or the rumored iPhone Air.
While fans of the old vertical pill-shape might find this a bit loud, there’s a practical benefit: the wider visor ensures the phone doesn’t wobble when you’re typing while it’s lying flat on a table. It feels rugged, too, boasting IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, all wrapped in a premium aluminum frame.
Performance:
Under the hood, Vivo has opted for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. While it’s technically positioned a step below the absolute top-tier silicon found in the Ultra models, make no mistake this is a beast. Paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, it handles heavy gaming and multi-tasking with ease.
Display & Security:
- The Screen: You’re looking at a stunning 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED panel. It’s vibrant, sharp, and smart enough to scale its refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz to save battery.
- Biometrics: In a major win for user experience, Vivo swapped the old optical scanner for a faster, more accurate Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Camera: Zeiss Magic in Your Pocket
The X300 FE is built for people who love to shoot. The setup includes:
- 50MP Main Sensor (OIS) for steady, crisp shots.
- 50MP Sony IMX882 Periscope Telephoto (3x Optical Zoom).
- 8MP Ultra-wide for landscapes.
- 50MP Front Camera for high-res selfies.
The real star is the Telephoto Extender Gen 2. It’s lighter than the first version and lets you push your focal length to an incredible 200mm. If you want Pro-level reach without carrying a bulky DSLR, this is it.
Battery and Longevity
Perhaps the most impressive feat is how Vivo crammed a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery into such a compact frame. It supports 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, which is rare for a compact device.
On the software side, it runs OriginOS 6 (Android 16). Vivo is making a serious commitment here, promising 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches, keeping this device secure and up-to-date until 2032.

My personal opinion about mobile phones
In today’s smartphone market, when all companies are competing to make phones bigger, I really like Vivo’s Compact Flagship idea.
The biggest thing is the size of the phone. The 6.31-inch screen means it can be used very easily with one hand. This is a great relief for those who are uncomfortable with carrying a large phone in their pocket. Also, the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that has been added this time provides a much faster and more premium experience than the usual sensor.
Usually, the biggest weakness of small phones is the battery. But Vivo has done a magic here! It’s incredible to pack a 6,500mAh battery into such a small body. This means that even after taking lots of photos or playing games all day, you won’t have to carry around a power bank. The 90W charging is also quite fast.
The phone uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Although it is not the most expensive chipset from the company, it is still a beast. It will not disappoint you in any way, whether it is for general use, high-end gaming or video editing. On the contrary, it will help in keeping the temperature of the phone under control.
Zeiss lenses are always special for those who love to take pictures. Especially for those who like to take shots like a zoom lens, the Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 is a great add-on. For travel photography, this phone is like a small DSLR camera in your pocket.
The viewfinder-style camera module on the back of the phone may not be to everyone’s taste. It looks a lot like the Pixel phones. I liked the clean look of the previous generation better, but the advantage of this new design is that the phone doesn’t wobble when placed on a table.
